An old Bungalow was envisaged to be converted to DVAT office for Tata Steel. The main challenge was the retrofitting of an eighty year old building without major structural modification, and completely changing it's typology from residential to and Office setting. The idea was to retain the bigger areas and restrict partitions in the same to give an open feel to the office, restricting smaller spaces like bedrooms etc for cubicles or cabins for executives, pantry etc. The various ducts and windows were opened up and made larger (vertically) to induce more daylight into the building. The design and colour theme were kept modern to depict the functionality of the office and also to give a more open, airy look.

The project was dropped as the client later wanted the contract to be of a turnkey nature.
