The client had a vision of creating a summer holiday home in the form of a cottage. The site was located in the scenic Dalma valley, near Dimna Dam. It boasted of a village setting with fabulous views of the mountain ranges and the nearby fields.

The brief was to design a structure which was a statement in itself, a modern rendition of the traditional cottage. The challenge was to design a compact cottage, yet with enough space to accommodate a group of guests. The clients wanted to host their friends for gatherings, picnics and partied at the summer cottage. The design tries to maximize the scenic potential of the site and also provide for interesting spaces through landscaping for an unmatched outdoor experience. A small servant quarter, electrical and generator room complete the built up spaces. Many design options and styles were presented before being finalized. The construction is underway currently.
