APERTA building was one of the pioneer labs in Tata Steel to boast of a modern building with huge glazed facades to allow for both breathtaking views of the surrounding green shaded areas and to allow sunlight into the open spaces. The project aims at extending the building, by adding on an extra floor. The extra floor would house open office seating spaces, sample preparation rooms for labs, private cabins for executives and a small conference room. The interiors have been treated in a manner to reflect the industrial and yet vibrant culture of Tata Steel, to best suit the young team. The use of open waffle ceiling accentuates the large spaces, while cabins have been designed to accommodate a warm, corporate feel. With proper acoustical treatment the conference room would meet the users requirement perfectly.

Externally the extra floor added would augment the sleek and modern look of the building and also add some shading devices in the form of aluminium pergolas.
